I refused to have an amniocentsis when I was pregnant and I am sure many other mothers would also do the same - knowing the problems and complications that it can cause. These scientist are smart enough to figure out that the fluid is useful, lets hope they can find a non - invasive procedure to collect the fluid without putting the baby at risk. I am hoping that the amniotic fluid can be collected just before you give birth.

This can cause premature rupture of the membranes! I speak with many moms that had PROM and caused labor to happen early. Many who were pregnant with twins lost one due to this.
