Pregnant Mom Forced Off Bus

A nine-months-pregnant mum was forced off a bus because her toddler was having a tantrum.

The driver told Joanne Uzzell, 28, her little girl’s sobbing was preventing him from concentrating on the road.

She says he just nodded when she asked if he expected her to get off the bus, reports the Mirror.

Joanne had to walk half a mile home carrying Molly, two, in one hand and two shopping bags in the other.

She said: “I was so embarrassed, I felt all eyes were on me as I left the bus.

“I waddled the rest of the way home half carrying Molly and the shopping. I had tears running down my face.”

Joanne, whose husband Jessie is a hotel chef, complained to the bus firm, which has apologised to her.

Chris Harris, Wilts and Dorset marketing manager, said: “We have spoken to the driver about his attitude towards customers in order to make sure people don’t feel uncomfortable in the future. It is not what we expect from our staff.”

Well it’s official, chivalry is dead. This driver should have given her a warning or some slack, but he should never have asked her to walk. He’s lucky she didn’t go into preterm labour!
