Missing Children

Update: More Information On Kidnapped Baby

CNN offers more details on the kidnapped baby and includes footage of the suspect.

According to Dr. Marc Siegel from New York University’s medical school, one of the main concerns is ensuring the child receives proper nourishment. Within the first three days, babies require either their mother’s milk or an electrolyte solution. Cow’s milk is not suitable for them. Without adequate nutrition, there is a risk of life-threatening problems. Time is of the essence in providing nutrition.

In an appeal to the kidnapper, Hudgens urges them to take the infant to a safe location and drop her off if necessary. The safety of the child is the primary concern.

Authorities believe that Mychael could still be with the suspected kidnapper. The suspect drives a late-model red Dodge pickup truck with black trim and tinted windows. There may have been another person in the truck when the suspect took the baby.

The suspected kidnapper is described as having a medium build and was last seen wearing pink nurse’s scrubs with purple and blue flowers. She also wore a gray or tan winter coat with a fur hood. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, African-American, in her 20s, and has auburn-dyed hair, according to the Amber Alert.

Anyone with information about the kidnapping is urged to contact the Lubbock Police Department at 806-775-2788, 806-775-2816, or 806-741-1000.
