Crown Prince Frederik And Princess Mary Welcome Baby Girl

Congratulations to Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary on the safe arrival of their new baby girl!

Princess Mary, originally from Tasmania, was admitted to the Copenhagen University Hospital with her loving husband, Crown Prince Frederik, by her side. The birth took six hours and was just as beautiful and impressive as that of their first child, Prince Christian. Frederik expressed that he was not as scared this time around.

The royal couple already have an 18-month-old son, Christian, and many were hoping for the birth of Denmark’s first royal daughter since 1946. Their wish came true – the baby girl is approximately 50cm long and both mother and daughter are in good health.

Princess Mary was attended by the same team that delivered Prince Christian, who was also born two weeks early. As for the baby girl, she will be third in line to the Danish throne, following in the footsteps of Frederik and Christian.
