Miracle Baby Sextuplets

One of Morrison 6 Sextuplets Passes Away

One of the Morrison sextuplets has tragically passed away. Bennet Ryan Morrison, one of the boys, was confirmed deceased by hospital officials representing the parents.

Brianna Morrison, 24, from St. Louis Park, gave birth to four boys and two girls just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. The babies were born prematurely at 22 weeks of gestation.

Brianna and her 24-year-old husband, Ryan Morrison, have not directly addressed the media since the births.

The remaining five children, consisting of three boys and two girls, are in critical condition at Children’s Hospital. The boys’ names are Tryg, Lincoln, and Sylas, while the girls are named Lucia and Cadence. Their weights range from 11 ounces to 1.3 pounds.

Despite their difficult circumstances, the Morrisons expressed gratitude for the support of their families, friends, churches, and the staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Children’s of Minnesota. In a statement released through Children’s Hospital, the Morrisons emphasized their unwavering faith despite their pain and sorrow over the loss of their son.

Hospital officials will not be providing further details, including Bennet’s weight, at this time.

In the midst of their grief, the parents continue to focus on the well-being of their other children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), according to a statement from Children’s Hospital.

Survival rates for sextuplets are relatively low, with only a few sets having made it through infancy in the United States.

When the Morrisons discovered they were having sextuplets, doctors suggested selective reduction to improve the chances of a healthy birth. However, the couple declined this option due to their religious beliefs. They firmly believe that each of their babies is a miracle bestowed upon them by God.
