Nicky and Georgina Christen Their Newborn Twins

Rocco and Jay Byrne’s christening party in Malahide, north Dublin, was filled with influential guests and a lot of love. The proud parents, Georgina Ahern and Westlifer Nicky Byrne, couldn’t contain their happiness as they showed off their adorable twin boys outside St Sylvester’s Church. Among the guests were esteemed figures such as a top restaurateur, a bestselling author, and even the Taoiseach, who also happens to be the twins’ grandad.

As the sun shone brightly, Nicky and Georgina brought their precious little ones into the church, dressed in cute white sailor suits. Despite their premature birth, the boys have grown well and are thriving. Born six weeks early, they spent their first month in the hospital but are now healthy and growing rapidly. Nicky expressed his joy at being a father and how quickly the babies are growing.

The proud grandfather, Bertie Ahern, jokingly hoped that his grandsons would pursue a career in entertainment rather than politics. Georgina’s father has been visiting the family every Sunday and thoroughly enjoys being a grandad. Although he had to miss the Dublin team playing at Croker for the christening, he assured everyone that the celebration would continue after the match.

The twins are already showing their support for the Dublin team, as evidenced by their jerseys on the order of service booklet. Nicky Byrne Snr wishes for his grandchildren to follow in his footsteps and explore football and music.

The christening ceremony was attended by approximately 150 close friends and family, who gathered in the stunning stone church. During the service, the parish priest emphasized the gratitude for the gift of two beautiful children and wished the twins strength and resilience for their future.

Cecelia Ahern and Nicky’s brother, Adam, were chosen as Rocco’s godparents, while Jay’s godmother was Nicky’s sister, Gillian, and her husband, Mark Gallagher, was the godfather.

Louis Walsh, still buzzing from a Barbra Streisand concert the previous night, expressed Nicky’s overwhelming excitement about becoming a father. He also highlighted the close-knit bond that the Westlife family shares.

Mark Feehily, another member of Westlife, reflected on how incredible it is to see everyone from the group now having babies. He acknowledged that this is the stage of life they are in and couldn’t be happier about it.
