Recalled Aquadots Still Being Advertised In Sunday Circulars

The recalled toy beads, Aqua Dots, were pulled from shelves nearly three weeks ago for being coated in a chemical that can turn into the “date-rape” drug when swallowed.

So why did they appear in circulars for Toys “R” Us and Target this weekend? Toys “R” Us says Aqua Dots are not actually for sale, just that the circulars were printed weeks in advance.

I guess the biggest issue here is carelessness. It looks bad that a toy chain as big a Toys “R” Us can’t take the time to make sure that their flyer’s are current and free of recalled products, especially ones that were as high profile as this one.

Nine children in the United States and three in Australia have gotten sick from the tainted kids toy.
