The School of American Ballet and New York City Ballet co-hosted The Nutcracker Family Benefit on Saturday afternoon, with proceeds raised to benefit the School’s scholarship fund and NYCB’s education and outreach programs.
The family event included a Saturday matinee performance of the holiday classic George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker followed by lunch and a visit from Santa.
The ballet performance features dozens of young students from the School who, along with the adult cast members, joined party goers to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Many New York Celebrities showed their support by bringing their kids to see the performance.
