Mommy’s Day Out: Stars and Strollers

Last Wednesday I packed the baby up and headed to the movies.

Normally babies aren’t allowed in movie theaters for obvious reasons, but I was attending a special showing just from parents with babies called Stars and Strollers.

Offered a couple times a week in select Cineplex Entertainment theatres, Stars and Strollers allows parents the opportunity to enjoy the latest movies in a Baby-Friendly environment.

Our theater had a place for me to park my stroller, a change table for accidents (which I needed), lowered volume levels, dimmed lighting and our choice of two movies.

The fact that everyone in the theater had a baby made it not so bad when my little guy started to cry. In fact, a some point during the movie almost every baby in the theater fussed. Closer to the end of the movie many moms were up walking the floor keeping their tiny ones comfy.

Stars and Strollers is:

  • a great place for new moms to meet
  • a good way to get out of the house
  • an easy way to stay current on the newest releases

I enjoyed my afternoon out with my sister in law and look forward to the next time I can see a movie and breast feed my son at the same time!
