RECALL: Edushape Snap Beads Due To Choking Hazard

Edushape is recalling its snap bead toys because the tip of the snap bead peg may break off under repetitive pressure, posing a choking hazard to small children.

RECALL: Edushape Snap Beads Due To Choking Hazard

The recalled product is multicolor and textured soft plastic beads that are designed to connect to one another. The beads are packaged in a 6” x 6” x 8” clear plastic jar with a photo of a child playing with the beads on the label. The word “Edushape” is written on the label in green and red.

The beads, manufactured in China, were sold at various retail stores and online from July 2009 to September 2009 for about $20.

Consumers should immediately stop using the snap beads and contact Edushape’s customer service department at (800) 404-4744 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.Edushape.com for a replacement set.
