RECALL: Step 2 Whisper Ride Buggy Because Pin Can Loosen & Potentially Cause An Accident

Step2®, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada (HC), is voluntarily recalling older styles of the Step 2 Whisper Ride Buggy(model number 768400). The pin with a yellow knob that attaches the handle to the buggy(at the back) can loosen causing the handle to possibly detach and potentially cause an accident. In rare instances, the plastic hole in which the pin is inserted can become elongated and allow the pin to become loose. There have been no reported injuries in Canada associated with this issue.

It is recommended that parents immediately stop using the Step2® Whisper Ride Buggy with a pin with a yellow knob until it has been repaired.

To receive information on how to obtain a free repair kit, please contact Step2® at: 1- 866-860-1887 between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (M-F) You may also register online at www.step2.com to receive the repair kit.
