The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Le Hing Inc, today announced a voluntary recall of about 200 baby walkers because they can fit through a standard doorway and are not designed to stop at the edge of a step. Babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed.
The recalled walkers are intended for babies 6 months and older. The item number L-0809EN is printed on the side of the box. The walkers are blue or pink with a white tray.
Consumers should stop using these walkers immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund.

Baby walkers have been banned in Canada for years. In fact, Health Canada’s website says that:
- It is illegal to import, advertise for sale, or sell baby walkers in Canada. It is also illegal to sell baby walkers at garage sales, flea markets, or on street corners.
- If you have a walker, destroy it and throw it away so it cannot be used again.
