Having just had my first girl after 3 boys, I’m not accustomed to girlish items like well, anything pink, tights, toys or accessories. I am just starting to get to the point where we really are looking for items that don’t scream ‘my brother wore me first’ and considering if we need to perhaps add a bit to the toy bins to offer a bit more variety than the trains, trucks and cars that our daughter is currently playing with. I may be a girl, but I’m far from girlie, so I didn’t jump right into the girlie items as soon as she came home. Recently, we’ve started slowly with a few cute items like socks, some leggings and a few play dresses, but now that she’s almost one, we might need to step it up a bit. She also has enough hair that we need to consider some tiny hair clips and really thinking about our possible future of barrettes, ponytail holders and headbands.
