First-time dad JR Martinez shows off his daughter Lauryn Anabelle (Belle for short) and her beautiful nursery in this week’s edition of In Touch Magazine.
The Dancing With the Stars winner and his girlfriend of four years, Diana Gonzalez-Jones, 30, welcomed Lauryn on May 2, 2012.
To create the perfect room for their little girl, the couple worked with Naomi Alon and Gerri Panebianco of Little Crown Interiors in Los Angeles. Well known for their gorgeous nurseries, the ladies designed a luxurious nest for Lauryn, which J.R. admits is now his favorite spot in the house.
The room is a unique mix of modern design, whimsical touches, and luxuriously reflective pieces. Gerri and Naomi added contrasting wood finishes, champagne wall coverings and sheer voile window treatments to create a space that is playful, yet sophisticated.
“There’s a soft rug in the middle of the floor that’s so comfortable,” J.R tells In Touch. “We plan on spending lots of tummy time there in the future!”
“Diana fell in love with a lamb theme,” J.R. continued “Then her mother pointed out LAMB is an acronym for Lauryn Anabelle Martinez Belle.”
The couple chose Young America’s Kudos Crib and Naturalmat’s Coco Mat Crib mattress dressed with Oilo Studio’s Freesia crib set. To add a punch of color they added Oilo’s Crimson Cohen Glider and pouf and Young America’s Mix dresser & changing table.
