Featured Review ~ Make Room For One More With The Britax Stroller Board!

Britax Stroller Board - rear view The Britax B-Agile has been one of my top picks for a lightweight buggy for parents on-the-go for some time now because it can be used from birth, is easy to use and is compact when folded.  The problem I have had is that my oldest son likes to be independent, but wants a break sometimes as well.  Introduced just a couple months ago Britax’s stroller board($89.99) gives me an extra spot to tote him when we are out at an amusement park or walking long distances.

Out of the Box it took me about 30 minutes to install the board onto the stroller.  While it is not complicated, it takes a bit to get the stroller connector positioned just right so that all 3 wheels on the board touch the ground perfectly.  But take solace in knowing that once it’s done the first time, you don’t need to re-adjust the connectors unless you are moving them to another buggy.

To connect all you do is simply lock the board to the stroller connectors and you are ready to go.  Little riders step onto the board and hold on to the handlebars to stay on.

Britax Stroller Board with my son on the back The first day I tested the stroller board I was adventurous and took it to a zoo close by.  This turned out to be perfect because a lot of the park is gravel.  The board did well going from the gravel to pavement, grass and back again.  As you can tell from the images everything got a bit dirty from the trek, but the board did well on all terrains.  Under the board Britax uses 3 all direction wheels that are similar to the ones you see on the bottom of suitcases.  They are bigger, but work under the same principles, which allows the board to go everywhere the stroller does.

My initial dilemma when testing the board was trying to figure out a walking position that would be comfortable for both my son and I because he stands in that space that is between me and the stroller.  Given this, I was thankful that I didn’t have any wheel kicking issues as the board comes out 10 inches off the back of the stroller.  The kid buffer, however, seems to reduce the chances of this.  So how do you push with a child standing in front of you?  I put my hands on the side of the bars and had him hold on to the top of the handle.

On their site Britax notes that this board is compatible with B-Agile, B-Scene, B-Nimble, Blink, and Chaperone strollers as well as the BOB Revolution SE (single and duallie), Revolution CE, Sport Utility Stroller (single and duallie), Ironman (single and duallie), and Stroller Strides.

Because it can be adjusted in three directions it will fit other brands on the market.

Over the last few years Britax has worked very hard to create gear that grows with your family.  The stroller board  is perfect for a growing family as it extends the life of your stroller when a new child arrives.
