Kidoodle.TV Offers a Great Mix of Classic, Current and Educational Programs For Kids!

Often when my boys are watching a cartoon on TV they’ll ask, ‘Was this show on when you were a kid mom.’ To which I normally respond no.  Because unfortunately all the shows I grew up watching, with the exception of Sesame Street, are long gone or locked away in some secret vault.  Well, that was until recently!

Just before March break I came across Kidoodle.TV.  My boys have become a little obsessed with Super Mario and the gang and wanted me to buy them a couple of episodes for their iPads.  While looking for an easier way to do it I found a couple of seasons of the show on Kidoodle.TV.

At first, I was a little lukewarm about the service because we already have so many subscriptions for the tablets, it’s starting to go overboard.  But as I looked a little deeper into the different shows that were offered I spotted  Jem & The Holograms!! Three seasons of it.

Then that crazy detective – Inspector Gadget caught my eye!  He was always on just after Jem.  It was grade 6 all over again! (Don’t do the math – I’m old)  George of the Jungle, the original Strawberry Shortcake, Paddington Bear, Archie – there are lots of classics here.  There are also quite a few new shows like Yo Gabba Gabba, Chuck & Friends and my not-so-favorite pre-schooler Caillou.  But that’s ok, because Kidoodle.TV has some great back-end features that allow parents to turn certain TV shows off, which I LOVE!!

When you sign up for the service($4.99/month) you create a profile for each child(up to 5) and then you can personalize each profile for each one.  There is also a timer so that kids can only watch an allotted and a password so that you know when they are starting their tv time.

On top of kid’s programming Kidoodle.TV has some great learning content from National Geographic, Quest – Man’s Journey Into Space, Terra Mystica and Think Green, an eco-series dedicated to increasing awareness about ways to preserve our planet.

As my kids get older they become more aware of nature, geography and historic events.  These series help explain some important key moments while providing the learning foundation to understand current events and important world destinations.

Kidoodle.TV is a great service that caters to kids 3-12, with all interests.  Their variety of classic, current and educational programming makes it a great resource for parents who are looking to educate and entertain their little ones!

Plus, as a bonus Kidoodle.TV has a referral program that gives subscribers a credit for one free month of the service (up to a maximum of 12 months) for every 4 subscribers that sign-up from your referral link.
