Keep Your Little Ones Safe & Secure in the Joovy Moon Room!

“Just wait till they become mobile, you’ll have your hands full!” This was the number one thing told to us from strangers when we were out shopping or eating with our twin 6 month old boys. I always nodded and smiled thinking why does everyone feel the need to tell me this. Now I understand, at almost a year old, the boys are crawling like crazy, standing and will hopefully take their first steps soon. It is madness in our house, both boys heading in different directions all the time!

After running after them every five minutes I knew it was time to invest in a play yard that was easy to set-up and take-down and had ample space for the boys to play together. The Joovy Moon Room ($219.99) has been a great solution for our family.

The set-up is a breeze since you only have two pieces to put together, the floor and the frame. Once each side is popped up, push the middle down and lay the floor in. Secure the floor tabs through the frame by connecting the Velcro and the Moon Room is ready for use. It comes in a convenient travel bag with a 100% cotton sheet, additional sheets can be purchased for $39.99. If you lose everything like I do, you will love that the instructions are located on the back side of the floor for future use or if you are taking it to gramma and grampa’s house.

The Moon Room comes in three great colors, Black, Charcoal and Purpleness.

One of my favorite features of this play yard is that it has 10 square feet of floor space perfect for both boys to play together. Mesh encloses all the sides so there is ample airflow and you and your baby have a 360 degree view of each other.

While the design is very cool and modern, I wouldn’t say it saves a whole lot of space in your house as it is not easily able to fit snug against a corner. The unique shape of the Moon Room however is fun and does provide great stability, love that I never have to worry about both boys standing up and pushing the play yard over.   At just over 27lbs. the Moon Room is a bit heavier than other brands but not by much.   I find it best for home play/nap use but with the quick set-up and compact storage bag, the Moon Room is ideal for travel. When the boys stay at grandma’s, throwing this play yard in the back of the van is a cinch and set-up is done in just two minutes.

The sturdy design, quality material and ease of set-up/take- down makes the Moon Room a winner in our family!
