Charting Basal Body Temperatures

If you are looking to start a family and get a good idea of when you are ovulating, charting your body’s Basal Temperatures is a great place to start!

This process takes a bit of planning, and organization – but lots of women been successful with this method when it’s done properly. Charting your body temperature is, quite possibly, the most noninvasive, low commitment way to determine your body’s cycle to increase your odds of getting pregnant.

Your basal body temperature (BBT) is your lowest body temperature in a 24-hour period – when you’re fully at rest. Ovulation may cause a slight increase in basal body temperature. To get an accurate reading, you must take your temperature when you first wake up in the morning, before you even sit up in bed. For it to be successful women should chart 3 cycles. But does it work?
