Your Baby Can Bounce & Sway With Fisher-Price’s Soothing Motions Seat{VIDEO REVIEW}

Designed to create the same motion you use to rock your baby, the Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Seat gives parents lots of options to lull their babies.

Out of the box the Soothing Motions Seat does require some assembly.  Have your screwdriver handy because you will have to secure some of the plastic frames and the base.  In total, it took be about 20 minutes to put together, which wasn’t too bad.

Parents can chose to sway their baby from side to side, bounce them up and down or a combination of the two.  There is also a vibration option that creates a gentle pulsation and 10 songs & nature sounds.

The seat is designed in the Papasan style that Fisher-Price is famous for with a soft body pillow to cradle newborns.  We absolutely love this because it contours your baby and provides support for their neck, sides and head.

The Soothing Motions seat can be set to two positions; reclined for new babies and upright for little ones that are starting to become more aware of their settings.

Above the seat is a mobile that has 3 colorful shapes with contrasting colors in the middle.  The center of the mobile has a mirror so that your baby can look at them self.

Because of it’s slight motion, the Soothing Motions Seat takes up less room than a traditional swing, but must be close to a plug in order to work. While it’s not completely ‘mobile’, it can be moved easily around the house.  It’s lightweight and not at all cumbersome to carry from room to room.  You would, however, have to take it apart to bring it to gramma’s house – unless you have a minivan and a bit of room in the back.

We absolutely love this seat!  It gives parents lots of soothing options and combines all of the great features of a rocker and swing all-in-one!  It also connects to AC adaptor for plug-in power so there is no concern about having to feed it batteries every two days.
