Featured Review – Britax B-Ready Stroller {VIDEO}

Sleek with a modern charcoal frame, the new 2017 Britax B-Ready Stroller offers parents a smooth push and the ability to grow with your family.

Out of the box parents just need to pop on the wheels and zip the canopy on to get going.

SINGLE MODE

From birth, parents can use the 2017 B-Ready as a travel system with an infant seat(optional accessory), or with the additional bassinet.

If you chose one of Britax’s infant seats for your baby, they will attach directly to the frame without any extra adapters. The stroller also accommodates other manufacturers infant seats, but you will have to check their site to see what additional accessories will be needed for them to work on the B-Ready frame.

Something that is new is that the infant seat can be installed facing you or facing out.

The stroller’s seat, which is designed for babies from 6 months to 55lbs, can be adjusted to 3 height positions with the 5-point harness.

The seat itself can be positioned to 4 different recline positions in both the facing you and facing out configurations.

To give little ones more comfort there is an adjustable foot rest that pivots to 3 different positions depending on your child’s size. When they get taller, it can be moved out of the way so that kids can rest their feet on the lower foot rest.

To protect your baby from the elements, there is a large 2 panel canopy with a mesh peekaboo window to allow for additional airflow on a hot day.  Britax also sells a rain cover if you do need more coverage in the Spring or Winter.

To accommodate parents of all heights, the stroller’s handle bar can be adjusted to 4 positions that range between 35″ in height and almost 43″. It has also been designed with a combination of foam and rubber to accommodate parents who want push with one hand or two!

At the back, the storage basket offers a massive space for parents to store a large diaper bag, extra clothes for a day out, and some shopping bags if you hit a sale at the mall!

When in single mode, parents have full access of the basket from the back and sides of the stroller.

There is also a zippered panel at the front to make it easier to grab our wallet and some snacks if you are using the stroller with the second seat.

The B-Ready is designed with 7″ front tires, 11″ back foam filled tires and a frame suspension system to give your baby a smooth, even ride over uneven pavement, grass or gravel.  This stroller is a workhorse and it does very well over most terrain.  We didn’t get to test it over snow, but it should be okay through less than a foot of snow and some light slush.

There is a linked brake at the back that shows red or green to let parents know if it is locked or not.  Activating this is very easy to do and is ‘flip-flop friendly’.

I like that Britax doesn’t use a bar across the back of the stroller because it reduces the chances of a taller parent kicking the frame.

When it’s time to pack up, the stroller folds with two levers on the handlebars that can be pulled towards you. When you do this the stroller’s frame will fold backwards and lock in place. To reduce the footprint you can pivot the seat’s footrest in.

When folded, the stroller will stand on its own by resting on the molded section of the handlebar.

DOUBLE MODE

Couples are are expecting twins, or planning to expand their family will love that the stroller can be expanded to be a double with the addition of the second seat.

The second seat, which can be connected at the back of the stroller, can be used from birth to 35lbs.  This extra seat is easy to install, and it comes with mud guards to prevent the baby in the back from being splash on wet days.

Britax has designed the B-Ready in a way that makes it very easy to install the second seat.  All parents need to do is add the mudflaps to the wheels and pop the seat’s frame into the stroller’s chassis.  No additional connectors.

Once in place, the seat can be reclined flat for a sleeping baby or sit upright for an older child.  Just like the top seat, there is a 5-point adjustable harness and a canopy to protect your baby from the elements.  The canopy on the second seat is smaller, but we found it did a great job keeping kids shaded from the sun.

If you would like to use an infant seat in the top spot while the second seat is installed, you will need to add a fabric protector and an extra set of adapters.  This is likely done to protect the bottom of the infant seat from little hands.

As a double, parents have more than 12 strolling options for their kids.  This versatility makes it a great option if you’re planning to add another baby to the family and don’t want to buy whole new system.

I love the 2017 Britax B-Ready because it is a sturdy, nice looking buggy that is easy for parent to use.
