Congratulations to Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte Walsh on the safe arrival of their third child!
According to People.com, Auden James Ellis Grammer arrived Monday, Nov. 14, weighing 7 lbs. and measuring 21 inches long.
“Both mother and son are doing great,” a rep told the magazine.
In a statement the couple revealed the baby’s name was a combination of their favorite people.
“The name was chosen to honor the great poet W.H. Auden, and James is after another great poet and singer James Taylor — two of our favorites.”
Ellis was Kelsey’Kelsey Grammers maternal great-grandfather’s name.
“He was a colorful character, to say the least, and we wanted to give the name a second chance,” the couple added.
The new baby joins Kelsey and Kayte’s kids Kelsey Gabriel Elias, 2, and Faith Evangeline Elisa, 4, plus the actor’s children from previous relationships: daughters Spencer, 33, Greer, 24, and Mason Olivia, 15, as well as son Jude Gordon, 12.
