Brooke Burke spends some mommy time with her youngest daughter Heaven Rain. The pair was seen leaving ‘Toy Crazy’ in Malibu yesterday.

The real killer was the RUDE mother in the sand box that wouldn’t let any of the kids use her child’s sand toys. She actually took a shovel away from Rain and Rain kept asking me, “why mommy?” I quickly ran over to the the store and bought a bunch of stuff for everyone to share in the sand box. Its amazing how a grown up can behave that way, talk about NO sand box ediquate….

The busy mom has 3 other children Neriah, Sierra and the newest addition Shaya.

Brooke Burke and partner David Charvet arrive at Nickelodeon’s 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards with their three girls Neriah, Sierra and Heaven Rain.

Brooke Burke talks to Mom and Baby Magazine about motherhood, breast feeding challenges and how she manages the demands of a family of six.

She has some great advice. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

How are you juggling four kids, with two under the age of 3?

Three kids were easy. Four rocked my world. It’s always been my goal to find balance between being able to devote time to my family and not let one comprise the other. I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I’m used to the chaos. But, it’s challenging having two babies in diapers and two babies not yet sleeping through the night.

What’s a typical day like at your house?

I have breakfast with all four kids and then I often drop Neriah and Sierra at school while Shaya stays at home. Having Shaya, I finally had to accept the fact that I can’t do it all myself and I had to learn how to delegate, so I do have people helping me at home with my children. I never had a live-in nanny when I just had three kids. But with four, I physically cannot be everywhere at the same time. I try to get all my work done during the day and we always have dinner together as a family, David included.

Did you breastfeed Shaya?

I breastfed Shaya for a week. Nursing has never been easy for me. I breastfed Rain for eight month; but between feeding and pumping, it was a 24-hour job. It was really important for me to breastfeed my children, but with Shaya I just had to let go of that pressure and guilt. I wanted that bonding experience, but my body just couldn’t do it – I wasn’t producing milk – so I had to give myself a break.

What’s your best advice for new moms?

Everybody is going to tell you the ‘right way’ to be a mom. I don’t think there is a right way. It’s difficult for a new mom to be confident enough to have faith in her decisions, but you have to figure out what works for you and your family and feel good about your decision. It’s not about being a perfect mother; It’s about doing the best you can everyday.

The couple talks about how excited they that some extra testosterone has been added to the family.

15 month old Heaven Rain is equally excited about the new edition as well as Brooke’s two other daughters Sierra, 6 and Neriah, 8 from her previous marriage.

“They’re great big sisters. They’re wonderful helpers and are so happy to have a little brother. “

Brooke says that the arrival of Shaya makes their family complete.

“Now that I have my son. I am content and happy.”

Brooke delivered her first son – and second child with fiancé David Charvet – at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. “Mommy and baby are both doing great and healthy,” Brooke’s rep Nancy Iannios tells In Touch exclusively. David adds, “and he’s really, really cute.”

The couple have a daughter, Heaven Rain, who was born in January 2007, and Brooke also has two girls – Neriah, 7, and Sierra, 5 – with her first husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher.

We look forward to hearing all about her adventures with her new little boy on her blog.

We are thrilled beyond imagination. David has always desperately wanted a boy and I have been wishing for a son as well, all my life. Our home has been an estrogen pool, and full of pink, girly things. It is exciting to see all the blue stuff. None of us are quite sure what to do with a boy, but we are so happy and totally blessed. David is often complaining about needing some male energy, so now his wish will come true!

The expectant mom has also been put on bedrest for the last few weeks of her pregnancy.

I am officially on bed rest now and climbing the walls!!! I went to my Dr. last week and learned I was 2 centimeters dilated with a thin cervix. I have been down that road before with Neriah. I delivered her 5 wks early and she was only 4 ½ lbs. So the Dr. put me on house arrest, no sex, and told me not to carry Rain. I am not sure how I will get through this, but it is such an important time, so I am doing the best I can. It is nearly impossible to stay off my feet with 3 kids and David. I am trying and thank God I have made it through this past week. I am 35 weeks now, and hoping to make it to the end of the month.

The couple was thrown a baby shower by the shoe company Stride Rite over the weekend and Brooke lists some of the many gifts she has received.

Among those gifts were:

• Valco “Boy Meets Girl” double stroller
• Collection of baby shoes from Stride Rite
• Clothes and blankies form Petit Bateau and Baby Gap
• Peg Perego high chair
• Silver Cross Dazzle Stroller

Here are her thoughts:

I went to an amazing premiere a few nights ago called “The Business Of Being Born”. It’s a documentary by Ricky Lake about the birthing process and the many choices we have. It was very emotional, informative and shocking in many ways. The information it provided for expectant mothers was eye opening and a bit disturbing. It was pro home birth. I used to think I wanted to experience that, but I was quickly talked out of it by my ex who is a Doctor, and very conservative. It turns out that I delivered Neriah 5 weeks premature, and it would have been a very dangerous situation. I went into labor with Sierra 3 wks early, and I was induced with Rain for several reasons 2 wks early.
As much as the thought of a candle lit, warm bath delivery at home sounds kind of cool; I think I feel safer in the hospital. I have to admit though, after watching the film I really hope that all things happen naturally in my body and I can deliver with out being educed.I think it is so important to have a birthing plan and go over it with your Doctor. I know many women who have had a traumatic experience because of a lack of information, intimacy, and fear.
Try to be as informed as possible before you get close to your due date about the process, get all your questions answered. If a natural delivery is important to you, find out what your Dr.’s percentage of c-sections is, and how often he educes and why. You can also have a Dula present at your birth, in or out of the hospital.

Sometimes what we imagine and wish for is out of our control because of unexpected circumstances or complications. I don’t want to scare anyone, because labor is scary enough, but get informed, so you can have a beautiful experience.

Fingers crossed that the 4th time will be her best experience. She is very lucky to have 3 healthy girls. Someone once told me that the pain of labor is forgettable – until you get pregnant again!

How does she do it?

I have scheduled special one night trips with each of them, separately. Even if time only permits checking into a local hotel. They do not know the difference, its all about packing that bag, having alone time with Mommy, and of course jumping on the hotel beds and ordering room service. Yesterday, I took Sierra to a play day, had lunch alone with Neriah and then we went to Color Me Mine to paint pottery. It is such a different dynamic when your get your children alone. I suppose the same would apply with your man!

When her daughter asked, “what if you don’t have time for me any more, when the baby comes??”

Brooke replied:

“Do you want to know the deepest secret of the mommies? I asked her. Mommies have a special power, and no matter who needs them, and how much love their family needs, mommies have a special gift to give as much love as everyone needs. So never worry, because I will always have enough for you.”

Her New Years resolution…To try not to get pregnant again!!
