Cate Blanchett arrived to co-chair a meeting Australia 2020 summit today with an extra member.

Less than a week after giving birth to her third child Ignatius Martin Upton, the beaming new mom posed for photos with six-day-old Ignatius this morning as hundreds of delegates filed through the doors of Parliament House.

Actor Hugh Jackman praised Cate on his way in to the talks.

“I have given her my kids – she is looking after them for the weekend,” he joked.

“Cate Blanchett is superwoman … she is amazing on every level, I think she is flawless as a person and I am thrilled that she is leading our stream.”

Congratulations to Cate Blanchett and husband Andrew Upton on the safe arrival of their third baby.

Ignatius Martin Upton arrived yesterday, weighing just over 8lbs the Daily Telegraph reported.

Cate and Andrew already have two sons: Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3.

Jessica Alba, Nicole Kidman and nominee Cate Blanchett showed off their best accessory this evening at the Oscars – their baby bumps!!


Cate, who is the furthest along, spoke with People about the baby saying, “He’s actually asleep – believe it or not, which bodes well.”

Jessica, who is in her 3rd trimester, spoke with Ryan Seacrest, but was reluctant to say much about the new baby. She did however reveal that she plans to breast feed, after telling Ryan that he was getting personal…

Minnie Driver has created some pregnancy buzz last week after she was spotted buying baby clothes for a little girl. She arrived at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party tonight in a flowy frock that appeared to reveal a baby.

Cate Blanchett looks radiant at this evenings SAG Awards held in Los Angeles. The mom-to-be missed out in both the categories she was nominated in this evening.

The best actress went to Julie Christie for her performance in Away From Her and the supporting actress category was won by 83-year-old Ruby Dee. Not to worry Cate, you still have a chance at the Oscars. She

is nominated in the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories.

Cate Blanchett was photographed backstage in the awards room at the L’Oreal Paris 2007 AFI Awards Dinner in Melbourne, Australia last night.

It was reported that the actress, who is currently pregnant with her third baby, and her playwright husband Andrew Upton are spending more than 1.5 million dollars turning their home eco-friendly.

Cate Blanchett keeps us guessing about whether or not she is expecting as she exited the Carlyle Hotel in NYC on Saturday night.

The Elizabeth star spoke recently about having her kids on set during the filming of her new movie.

Her young son dressed up as a knight and protected her on the set of her latest movie.

She said that her five-year-old son was so obsessed with knights the assistant director kindly let him play the part off screen.

Cate revealed to Bang Showbiz, “It was fantastic to have the kids on set.

Dash, my eldest, who was then not quite five, was into knights at the time and his godmother had given him a plastic knight outfit.

“Tommy Gormley kindly said he could stand and protect me. So in the scene where Clive Owen is talking about the immensities and I’m sitting on the throne, I’m actually looking through an archway at my son standing in a knight’s costume protecting me.

“He stood for like five minutes and each take was different for him. He was a natural, unfortunately.”
