The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to her second child on Friday in Arizona.This morning on The View she revealed the baby’s name and showed pictures. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and arrived without complications.

It looks like Grace is already bonding with her new brother. We wish them well!!

Elizabeth Hasselbeck Welcomes A Boy!

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Tim Hasselbeck on the safe arrival of their second baby.

The baby, who weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and arrived without complications, was born Friday in Arizona.

“We’re thrilled he arrived safely,” Tim said in a statement. “Both mom and son are happy and healthy.”

Elisabeth is expected to reveal the baby’s name when she calls in to The View Monday.

Elizabeth recently blogged about transitioning Grace, the couple’s 2 year old, and preparing her for the impending arrival of her new sibling.

The couple tried their best to make Grace’s new room in Arizona feel as normal as possible by:

Having her exact sheets and comforter here when we arrived, so that the room here felt like home. I shipped many of her favorites here, stuffed animals, books, toys, her bath towel, cups and plates, sidewalk chalk. I stocked the kitchen with her “go-to” snacks. We got her a new toothbrush- which she loves! We decorated her room today with supplies from the art store… bought a wooden “G” and had her color, sticker, and glitter glue it, added a ribbon and then hung it on her doorknob.

Elizabeth goes on to talk about the preparation that she was doing for the new baby’s arrival:

I let Grace try on a sling with her baby-doll in it and walk around the house. We played MEMORY, and pretended she was the mommy. Her eyes were wide when she realized that she could have the baby on her, and do everything normally. I desperately want her to know that when I am holding the baby I am still “hers” too. I would recommend that to any moms expecting their second!

I am sure she will do great. Sometimes parents worry needlessly. Most kids love babies and I am sure that Tim and Elizabeth will go out of their way to include Grace in the new baby’s routine. SOURCE

‘The View’ Audience Cashes In

Today was Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s last day on The View before she heads to Arizona, where her husband will play for the Cardinals.

As a tribute to Elizabeth, the producers filled the audience with moms expecting their second baby.

After having Grace, Elisabeth discovered the stuff that makes a mom’s life so much easier, so before she leaves to have her baby, she showed the audience all the must-have items on her list for moms-to-be.

This is where it pay to be a View audience member… Every mom to be in the audience got every product that Elizabeth was showing, a years supply of Huggies AND a ‘celebrity bump’ bag, worth $1500, put together by jewels and pinstripes!!

What a great day for all of those moms!!

Elizabeth will also be writing a blog for dreft.com, the baby laundry company, while she on her maternity leave.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck Talks About Pregnancy Weight Issues

Elizabeth glowed with her protruding belly backstage at the Snoopy Fashion Show. The girls on The View spoke about Britney Spears post pregnancy body and pregnancy weight in general.

I have voiced my opinion on this subject many times in the last few weeks, stating that a woman should take care of the baby first and her shape second.

Elizabeth spoke about a personal experience she had while doing photos for a shoot.

“Don’t worry, they will probably airbrush your arms so they don’t look so big. Make sure you stand sideways so that people know you are pregnant in all photos so that you don’t look like you have gotten..uh fat.”

I believe that someone would tell her this because when a pregnant celebrity does a press shoot for anything, they always do the obligatory side shot to show that they are pregnant.

Is is the public that wants women to return to their original size so quickly or the Film and Television Industry? For the record – Britney looks good for a mom of two. The outfit was probably more appropriate for a performance earlier in her career, but no one should criticize her for coming out and being what most wanted her to be.

The bubbly View host was seen last night at the 2007 Breeders Cup Challenge Kickoff with hubby Tim.

Elizabeth is approximately 5 months pregnant right now due to deliver her second baby in late fall.

Her dress was designed by Shoshanna. It is not part of a maternity collection just one of her summer 2007 dresses.

Tim and Elizabeth Hasselbeck Expecting Baby No. 2

It was announced today on The View that Tim and Elizabeth Hasselbeck are expecting their second child.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has long been candid on The View about her desire to get pregnant again – and her wish has finally come true.

On Monday’s show, co-host Rosie O’Donnell asked: “I was just wondering if there’s anything new, Elisabeth?”

“Um, just a couple things,” replied Hasselbeck, 29. “Like, I’m totally three months pregnant.” Confetti then flew out of the studio ceiling.

“I figured that we’re going to be lonely without you,” Hasselbeck said to O’Donnell, who is leaving the show at the end of the season. “So, Tim and I thought we should get busy and maybe make a little co-host.”

The baby is due in November, Hasselbeck added, prompting the show’s star (and its executive producer), Barbara Walters to say, “And what is November?”

“Sweeps!” said Hasselbeck.

As for the baby’s gender, Hasselbeck says she doesn’t plan to find out until the birth.

Hasselbeck and her husband, New York Giants quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, also 29, will celebrate their five-year anniversary in July. They welcomed their first child, Grace Elisabeth, on April 6, 2005 – Tim’s 27th birthday.

The announcement of Hasselbeck’s pregnancy was released by ABC just prior to the show on Monday morning.

“Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 29, co-host of ABC’s The View, will announce live on-air today that she is pregnant with her second child and is due in November,” ABC said in a statement.

“Tim and I are incredibly thankful and excited,” Hasselbeck said in the statement.
