Milla Jovovich enjoys the sights in Paris with daughter Ever.

The fashion model is in the city for Paris Fashion Week.

With the date quickly approaching, Milla reflected on her labor experience with People at Spike TV’s Scream 2008 this past weekend.

“I was in labor for 72 hours. I was up for 48 hours, for two nights. I started Halloween night. By the time I went into the hospital, it was the night of November 2. I finally went into the hospital and had the epidural.”

Despite the ghoulish lack of rest, Jovovich, 32, says when Ever Gabo Anderson arrived, “all I wanted to do was just show her who her mom is, and talk to her.”

And now, comes the fun of planning baby’s first birthday!

“I’m the worst at planning stuff like that,” Jovovich, who is married to director Paul Anderson, says. “But for her party, I have to plan something. It will be pretty relaxed.”

Relaxed for mom, that is, as the Resident Evil actress attests, “too many people in the house [can be] too much” for Ever. “The fact is, I just have to bring her down after her nap and take some shots with the other kids, and send her away. She’ll just freak out.”

Jovovich jokes, “It’s really for me. It’s not for her. It’s for her memories so she doesn’t come back to me at 25 and like, ‘You didn’t celebrate my first birthday, and that’s why I hate you, mom! My life is totally screwed up because of it.’ “

She also explains the origin behind the baby’s unique name, writing:

“The name Ever is a scottish boy’s name, Paul has scottish blood in him (not to mention two tartans in his family!) so we wanted to give her a name that reflected her “celtic” roots, while her middle name Gabo -pronounced “Gabeau”- is a mixture of my parents names! the first two letters are after my mom’s first name, Galina and the last two letters are after my dad’s first name Bogie!”

Congratulations to Milla Jovovich and fiance Paul Anderson on the safe arrival of their first baby.

US Magazine is reporting that the baby, a girl, has been named Ever and that the birth went smoothly.

She was born at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.

Milla hosted a baby shower at her Beverly Hills home on Oct. 14, where the yoga enthusiast gifted friends with special oils and Express sweatpants. “She couldn’t wait for the baby to come,” a source at the shower told Us.

The couple has said they plan to marry after the birth.

“He got me an antique ring and he proposed four years ago, but we broke up in between,” the Jovovich-Hawk clothing designer explained to Us last April. She and Anderson, 42, have been dating since he directed her in 2002’s Resident Evil.

Pregnant model, Milla Jovovich, who has gained 70lbs since falling pregnant with her first child, was in Paris when she experienced an overwhelming desire for “the leg of a cow.”

She told Britain’s Grazia magazine, “I was craving bone marrow one day, and I scoured the whole of Paris searching for the leg of a cow. When I finally found what I was looking for, I cut it in half, digging out the yellowish substance, slathering it all over bread.”

The Ukrainian model, who is expecting a girl, has developed a new relationship with food since falling pregnant.

She said, “Before I got pregnant, I really didn’t care about food. I saw it as fuel, not something to sit down and enjoy. As an actress and model, I lived on cigarettes and coffee, and jet-lag tended to kill off any appetite I had.

“My diet for most of this year has been – for breakfast, four eggs with bacon, toast and butter, if I was at home. Then if I was at a diner, I’d have a Mexican omelette, a stack of pancakes and strawberry milkshake.

“I’d stuff myself with cookies all morning – whatever was in the cupboard really – then I’d have a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts for dessert. And I once ate two whole packs of coffee cake in one sitting.”

I love hearing about these models, who have limited their food intake for years, getting pregnant and opening the flood gates.

The model-turned-actress, who is expecting her first child, admits she has been piling on the pounds since falling pregnant. She said in an interview with InStyle magazine: “I used to smoke cigarettes, drink champagne – I was a big champagne person – but now eating is the only vice I have left!” Although she’s still got four months to go Milla – who has been in a relationship with film director Paul Anderson since 2002 – knew she would pile on the pounds at an alarming rate. She said: “I have a very addictive personality. They say you’re supposed to gain 30lbs when you have a baby and I’m nearly there already! All those stories that you see on TV – ‘I eat when I’m upset!’ I totally get it now.”

Milla is due to give birth to a baby girl in November and is worried about the trouble her daughter may cause. She added: “I’m 90 per cent sure it’s a girl. I know I’m in for it, at least if my own relationship with my mother says anything!”

After the baby arrives Milla will be happy that she did these shots. They are a nice reminder of how cute she looked while growing her baby

At a party in L.A. for her Jovovich-Hawk clothing line, Milla Jovovich joked with photographers that she didn’t want to turn to the side too much – but there was no hiding that fact that she’s pregnant and loving it.

“I’m gaining weight, which is fun,” the model-actress-designer, 31, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Paul Anderson, told PEOPLE at the Monday night event hosted by Gen Art.

“I’ve been craving lots of bad stuff but I’ve been cooking a lot. I did this amazing slow-roasted tomato dip the other night, and steaks, and, oh, I’ve been eating my mom’s potatoes – I know how to make my mom’s potatoes – like crazy. It’s awful. I have to stop.”

And how is she preparing for motherhood? Jovovich says she’s “just reading lots of books and trying to talk to all my friends who have kids and getting prepared to start my prenatal yoga and all that kind of stuff soon.”

She’s even getting a little bit ahead of herself: “I’ve read a couple of books by Harvey Karp, the pediatrician, and of course I’ve got Coping with Preschool Panic [a guide to Los Angeles private preschools]. I’m like four months pregnant and I’m already coping with preschool panic!”

The photo was taken at the party and she definitely does not look pregnant yet. I did see another shot where she is wearing casual clothing and her bump is more prominent.

It is important to put some weight on while you are pregnant. The baby needs all of the nutrients that you can provide for them. Models are notorious for starving themselves to obtain a certain look. I am glad that Milla has decided to just enjoy her pregnant body and love the fact that she is going to get fat.

A baby is on the way for Milla Jovovich and her fiance Paul Anderson.

The models rep tells Eonline that the baby is expected this fall. No other details were available.

This will be the first child for Jovovich and Anderson. They reportedly began dating in 2002, when Anderson directed the Ukranian-born Jovovich in the movie Resident Evil. (He also wrote, and she starred in, the other two Resident Evil flicks—the third installment comes out this fall.) They reportedly were engaged in March 2003.

Jovovich was married to her Fifth Element director, Luc Besson, for two years, until they divorced in 1999.
