Rebecca Davey, 18 has caused outrage and caught the attention of Social Services after she posted a picture on Facebook of her six-month-old son with an unlit cigarette in his mouth.

A online friend reported the inappropriate photo to police who then followed up with a visit to the teen’s house.

While they found there was ‘no immediate concerns’ for the child’s welfare, Social services has now also made inquiries.

Rebecca then updated her status to read: ‘Some w***** reported me to the police abwt picture off ollie.’ and then she declared her love for her son, writing: ‘Why Would SomeOne Do That To Me U Ollie No was taking U Yur Mine for lyfee Darlinggg Mummy Loves You ’

Her friends rushed to her support, with one writing on her page: ‘Some ppl r nosey f****** aint they!! dw [don't worry] ur a good mum they wont hassle u 4 long!!!’

But another said: ‘What chance has the kid got if the family behave like this?’

The photo has since been removed.

In an almost unbelievable story, a New South Wales 12-year-old has given birth to a baby boy, after falling pregnant to her 15-year-old live-in boyfriend.

The young girl, who may only be in grade 7, will be raising the baby with the help of her mom.

Earlier this year the Department of Community Services (DoCS) had to apologise when it was revealed the girl’s father had warned them his daughter was sleeping with her boyfriend at her mother’s house.

The department admitted more should have been done to help the family, but the girl’s case had been overlooked by a stretched department.

The father told Woman’s Day magazine he did not think his daughter was up to the task of being a mother.

“She is only a baby herself and now she’s got a baby. She has no maternal instincts at all,” he said.

For privacy reasons, many details of this story have been kept private.

This whole thing is very unfortunate and sad. A parents job is to protect their kids from situations like this. Now this young girl will never have the chance to be a child.

Police in NYC are looking for a the parents of a beautiful baby girl, believed to be about 18 months after they abandoned the tot in broad daylight on the Upper East Side.

Workers at the Ritz Diner on First Avenue and East 62nd Street said they thought nothing of it when they saw a man and woman got out of their car with a baby in a stroller.

But then worried when the couple got back in the car and drove off without the child.

Officials said the baby appeared to be in good health after she was rushed in an ambulance to New York Hospital, where she was held for observation.

“She was a beautiful baby girl,” said Francesca Perrone-Vaquero, a pedestrian who saw a crowd fussing over the girl.

“The baby looked happy and was laughing. Who would leave a poor child like that on the street?”

Onlookers said the child, who was dressed in pink, was left behind with Pampers and boxed, new toys in the baby buggy.

Police have been trying to trace the little girl’s parents from a cash receipt left in the bag containing the goods, that showed her parents bought a pair of baby shoes from the H&M store in the Queens Boulevard mall.

They have also been looking through surveillance video at the store to try to identify the parents.

A Florida man was arrested after being accused of leaving two small children in his vehicle while he was in a Clearwater strip club.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 33-year-old man left a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old in a car late Sunday night, while he drank at the bar, for 30 to 60 minutes.

At the time of his arrest, police were not sure of his relationship to the kids.

He was arrested on two felony counts of child neglect and is being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bail.

A Texas mom is accused of leaving her four children alone for hours on Sunday night after neighbors called the police when they heard her children crying inside her apartment.

When police arrived, they knocked on the door. At first no one answered the door. But then the 6-year-old opened the front door and told the officer,

“Mommy left us here all alone and she went to go dancing.”

When officers entered the apartment, they found a 6-year-old, a 4-year-old, 1-year-old, and a 3-week-old by themselves.

The 6-year-old said it wasn’t the first time. She told police,

“She just left us here. She does it all the time.”

Police tracked down the children’s mother, 25-year-old Baleria Beltran, at Nite Club several miles from her home and arrested her. Investigators said she had been at the club for more than two hours.

Baleria is now in jail charged with four counts of endangering a child.

All four children are now with their grandmother, and Child Protective Services is investigating.

Could you imagine leaving a 3-week-old baby with a 6-year-old? Absolutely RIDICULOUS! Heck, I wouldn’t even leave my 3-week-old with his daddy because I felt like he needed me all the time at that point.

Last Sunday night a newborn was found abandoned in a shoe box in the lobby of a Long Island Apartment Building.

The tiny baby, who was less that a day old, still had the umbilical cord attached to the baby and tied off with dental floss.

Yesterday police arrested the newborn’s mom. She has six other children, ages 8 and younger, and admitted to being addicted to cocaine during this pregnancy.

Xiomara Gamez, 24, who worked as a prostitute to support her drug habit, was afraid to go to a safe haven because of her undocumented status, police said. She moved from El Salvador 13 years ago.

At a news conference in Mineola, Det. Lt. Raymond Cote said Xiomara gave birth to a healthy baby girl in the basement of an abandoned house in Hempstead just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

She named the baby Pearl and left her at an apartment building where she knows Hispanic families live. Coverage of the story led to a tip from a man in Queens.

This story just gets worse with every piece of information that is released. I pray that a good family adopts this baby and never tells her about her crappy beginning.

The toddler now smokes a pack of cigarettes a day and throws a tantrum if he can’t get his fix.

‘The father wasn’t aware of how serious the toddler’s habit became until the child began to increase the number of cigarettes he smoked per day’, China Radio International reported.

Tong received his first cigarette at the age of 18 months in a bid to reduce the discomfort caused by his hernia. The boy’s tender age meant he was too young to have an operation.

A Colorado man is in hot water after he left his 4-month-old son in a shopping cart in the Home Depot parking lot over the weekend and didn’t realize the baby was missing until he was 5 miles away.

The Home Depot’s store manager called police Sunday after a customer came in and told him there was a baby in the parking lot.

He then went out to the cart-storage area in the lot and found the infant, took him inside the store and called police.

When police arrived, the baby’s father was pulling back into the parking lot. The man approached the officer, telling him he had left his child at the store and was told that police had the baby when he called the store.

The man’s wife was out of town. He told police he was loading his shopping items into his car when his brother called him on his cellphone. He was talking on the phone as he put the cart back in the storage area and then drove off.

He told police he was still talking to his brother when he turned around and noticed the baby wasn’t in the back seat of the car.

The man, who could not be reached for comment, was reportedly upset about forgetting his baby. The baby’s grandmother took the infant home and planned to keep him until the baby’s mother got back from vacation.

The father was issued a summons for child abuse criminal negligence and released.

A driver was surprised Saturday when he found a newborn baby inside a QVC cardboard box, along with a blanket, an article of clothing and a diaper, at the side of the road in Ocala, FLA.

Police on Monday said the baby girl, who is about 3 to 7 days old, appeared to be in good health, although she did suffer some ant bites. They believe the newborn may have been abandoned the night before being found.

Westly Pringle found the infant when he noticed fingers poking out of the box on the side of the road.

“That’s the roughest start you could ever have; for your mom and dad to just abandon you on the side of the road,” he said.

“It’s terrible that someone would do that. I would rather them drop (the baby) on my doorstep than to do that. Take (the child) somewhere safe. They say ants had got on (the infant),” said Lois Dowdy, who lives near the location where the child was found.

“It’s very sad. It’s very dangerous. There are snakes out here,” said Florastine Lee, who also lives nearby. “A lot of dangerous animals come out at night that could have eaten up that child, and that child did not ask to come into the world.”

Police are now looking for a woman driving a gray pickup with a white topper who was seen in the area on Friday at about 7:30 p.m.

Many people have come forward offering to adopt the newborn, but authorities are looking for a family member who is willing to take care of her before putting her up for adoption. Regardless, it will take months before she is put up for adoption.

The parental crumminess continues in New York.

A Long Island baby is now safe with relatives after authorities found her drunken father pushed her stroller along a busy road late the other night.

The 3-month-old was crying as her father “dangerously” pushed her stroller along Route 25 in Centerreach. Witnesses said he let go of the stroller several times.

To add to the excitement, the drunkin daddy took a swing at an officer before he was subdued with Mace.

Charges following the weekend incident include child endangerment, resisting arrest and harassment.

You can’t even say it’s good he didn’t drive because the outcome could be just as scary if he had let go of the stroller at the wrong time.

This may be the most RIDICULOUS story I have ever covered. The details are so unbelievable, they feel like an April fool’s joke.

A teenage UK mother has been arrested by police for allegedly drink-driving while unlicensed as she breastfed her five-month-old baby – after she almost crashed into a police car.

Police said they hit the brakes to avoid a collision with the 19-year-old woman’s station wagon as she left a hotel parking lot – and saw her drive off with the baby attached to one breast.

Once pulled over, she was ‘allegedly’ so drunk she was unable to give them a breath sample.

Apart from driving without a licence, she was also said to be driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

As you can imagine, police were “absolutely outraged” that someone would choose to do something so dangerous.

The baby has been placed in the care of relatives and the mom has been charged with:

1. failing to provide a breath sample
2. driving without a drivers licence in an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle
3. failing to give way
4. driving with an unrestrained child

A pair of conjoined twins that were found abandoned under a bush with their date of birth written on a slip of paper, have been successfully separated.

The babies underwent a four-hour operation to be separated on March 10th. Their individual weights have risen to 4lbs 6oz and 4lbs 1oz respectively, which is considerably more than the 6lbs they weighed together when they were found.

The twins, who had merged blood vessels, liver and chest bones, are also the youngest pair of conjoined twins who had been successfully separated in the Chinese city.

Hospital staff believes that concern over heavy medical expenses caused their parents to abandon them outside the hospital just eight days after they were born.

They held a press conference on Wednesday and urged the parents of the twins to come forward.

Even though the fees to operate on the babies has now exceeded 100,000 yuan ($22,000), the hospital says that the parents will not have to pay.

Future operations will also be waived They include heart surgery for both and cleft palate surgery for one.

Because the babies were so small, the hospital paid extra for their surgeries.

Hospital officials said that the surgeons practised operating on rabbits at least three times before they dared to perform the surgery and the operation was divided into two parts.

The boys were separated at their abdomen and liver before their chest bones.

The operation was risky because the babies had no more than 240cc of blood in total, and a blood loss of 10 per cent or just 24cc, could have placed their lives in danger.

The good news is that the surgery was a resounding success and the babies are currently healthy and recovering well.

I personally hope these parents don’t come back for them. They need parents that are going to love them regardless of their condition.

I just wonder how this moms delivered conjoined twins without anyone knowing? There would be no way that two heads could pass through the birth canal simultaneously.

Police are looking for a Washington dad after he held up a Mini Mart cashier at gun point with his 9-year-old daughter in tow.

Phone tips from people who saw the story on the news helped investigators identify the man as 42-year-old Robert Daniel Webb of Everett.

The night clerk gave the man less than $200. The robber told his daughter to leave. Probably not realizing what has happened, the girl skipped to the car outside.

“As far as we know, he’s a very loving father. But he’s making some very bad choices right now and has not realized the danger he’s putting her in,” said Kittitas County Undersheriff Clayton Myers.

Court documents show the desperate dad was found guilty of violating a protective order last year. Deputies don’t believe his daughter is safe in his care.

“He needs to, if nothing else, he needs to release his child so we can get her out of this situation,” said Myers.

This crummy dad is believed to be driving a silver 2008 Toyota Corolla with license plate 602-XQG.

Emergency services rescued a baby early this morning after the father left the child in a car to go gambling.

Police, fire and EMS were called after Patrons of the Silver Dollar Casino heard the baby cried, while his father gambled inside.

“A car was found with the windows covered with blankets to avoid viewing from outside,” said police.

“Fire Crews gained access to the vehicle and removed a 21-month old male child from a rear child restraint.

Sadly, the baby had vomited on his clothing, (and was) very lightly dressed with no shoes or socks.

By the time crews reached the baby shortly after midnight, investigators believe the baby had been in the car for approximately six hours in temperatures that hovered around -8 Celsius.

The father has been charged with a criminal charge of abandoning a child and the baby has been seized by Child and Family Services.

I hope there are family members that can look after this baby and give it the love it deserves.
