When Liz Breach feels her unborn twins kick, she can not only tell which one it is, she also knows which of her two wombs the baby is growing in. The New Zealand mom, who discovered that she has two completely separate wombs a rare condition called uterus didelphys when she was a teenager, later successfully carryied her two sons, Trent, 7, and Logan, 3, in her right womb.

When she became pregnant again earlier this year, Liz, 32, couldn’t wait to find out which womb was housing her baby. Thrilled at the news of an addition to the family, her husband Jason, 39, offered to take time off work and come along to the ultrasound scan.

”But I didn’t think it was going to be a big deal, so I went alone,” recalls Liz.

However when the five-million-to-one bombshell was revealed, she immediately wished Jason had been at her side.

“The doctor asked how I would react if he told me I was having twins and that there was a baby in each womb,” says Liz. “I told him it wasn’t funny.”

The babies are due in the new year! We wish this family good luck.

She is believed to be among the oldest Canadian women to give birth.

The twin boys arrived seven weeks premature by C-section at Calgary’s Foothills Hospital Tuesday morning. The new mom is recovering in intensive care, while the twins are in the neo-natal intensive care unit.

One of the babies is breathing with the help of special equipment, while the other boy is in the special care unit. Doctors say both are doing well. The twins will be kept in hospital until they can maintain their temperature, can breathe on their own without assistance and can feed by bottle or breast all feeds.

In the last few years there has been a growing trend of older women undergoing IVF in other countries. Last year 70-year-old Rajo Devi welcomed her first baby and 70-year-old Omkari Panwar welcomed twins.

I personally don’t agree with women who give birth so late in life because I think that it robs their children of precious time with their parents late in life.

I am, however, happy that these babies are doing well.

The actor also credited his wife for her breast feeding abilities.

“I have to give a lot of kudos to my wife,” he told Ripa. “[She] is now waking up every three hours and doing what we call the ‘Double Football,’ ” O’Connell said. “They eat at the same time!”

The couple announced in July that they were expecting.

In November, Rebecca told Page Six magazine she was ready to give birth because she was on bedrest.

“I can’t move anymore… I’m a beached whale!” she said. “I have not been without a bra this entire pregnancy. I refuse. I’m not taking any chances. I’m determined to keep the puppies up!”

She also revealed that the twins were conceived without the help of in vitro fertilization or the fertility drug Clomid.

“A year ago, we tried Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully,” Romijn said. “But by the second month, I was like, ‘Ahhh! I hate this!’ I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it’s crazy-making.”

Laura Williams is due to give birth this week to her baby girls, already named Faith and Hope.

Only about five per cent of conjoined twins survive the first 24 hours, but because they are joined at the front, doctors say the chances are good in this case. A team of doctors is on standby to ensure both babies survive.

Surgeons are also planning to separate the twins in a complex operation, which is usually done only if both babies have their own heart and spinal chord.

Doctors are set to transfer them from Birmingham’s Women’s Hospital to the city’s Children’s Hospital or Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for the risky procedure.

Conjoined twins are extremely rare — with just one in 200,000 births affected. They are identical twins whose bodies are joined in utero.

Now they are regarded as a ‘one in a million’ family by experts because the first set of twins – Grace and Ruby – are non-identical while the latest arrivals – Isla Mae and Isobel – are identical.

All four girls were conceived naturally, without the need for any IVF treatment, and there is no history of twins in their families.

Debbie Ross, membership manager of the Twins and Multiple Birth Association, described the Pearson family’s two sets of twins as ‘practically unheard of.’

‘The chance of having non-identical twins is one in 67 while the chance of having identical twins is about one in 1,000′, she said.

‘But the chances of having two sets of twins, identical and non-identical, must be one in a million. You will find very few families who have a pair of identical twins and a pair of non-identical twins.’

Non-identical twins Grace (7lb 6oz) and Ruby (7lb 8oz) were born on December 9, 2005 – although the twist was that the girls look identical.

Identical twins Isla Mae (7lb 6oz) and Isobel (8lb 6oz) were born on August 26 this year.

Both sets of twins arrived at 38 weeks pregnancy, arriving by caesarean section three minutes apart.

The amazing nature of this family’s situation has caused them to ‘minor celebrities’ where they live in Colchester, Essex.

Adel says:

‘I can barely go out now, me and the girls are like celebrities. I can’t go shopping without somebody stopping me and wanting a look at the girls.

‘I try to dress them differently but everyone sees through it. People are just fascinated and have so many questions to ask.’

“We did not do IVF,” she says of her and hubby Jerry O’Connell. “A year ago, we tried [the fertility drug] Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully. But by the second month, I was like, ‘Ahhh! I hate this!’ I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it’s crazy-making.”

Rebecca says that once her baby girls arrive, Jerry will make the best father.

“I knew early on he would be a fantastic dad,” she says. “He’s a pragmatic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic person. He really lives his life with tremendous integrity, and he’s a healthy person in every single way.”

The mom-to-be, whose been happily married to Jerry since July of 2007, opens up about her divorce from her first husband John Stamos — and the rumors that their divorce stemmed from her not wanting children.

“There is absolutely no truth to that,” she says. “That [story] was completely made up. I desperately wanted kids. I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I’ve always dreamed about decorating my baby’s nursery.”

Everyone in Hollywood is having twins and now Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen are joining the multiples party.

“Brooke and Charlie are expecting twins, and they are so excited,” Moira Fiore, Brooke’s mom, tells People. “Obviously, I am floating on air.”

The grandma-to-be says that the couple “thinks the twins are boys” but aren’t sure.

“Brooke has had all day morning sickness but is coming to the end of the first trimester so she hopefully will feel better soon,” says Fiore of her 31-year-old daughter. “It has been rough for her.”

Still, “Brooke looks so beautiful,” adds her mom. “She is just glowing.”

Charlie, 42, who is already a father to three girls, has expressed interest in having a son. In August, Brooke was quoted saying that, she thought they would have a boy.

“Odds are it’s a boy, but we’ll be happy with either sex.”

The twins are due in April.

The baby girls arrived Tuesday, Oct. 7 vis C-section at 2:46 p.m. weighing in at 5 lbs., 15 oz. and 5 lbs., 2 oz.

“The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home,” rep Cindy Guagenti tells PEOPLE.

The singer, 40, had said on her MySpace page before the babies were born that she and husband Michael Lockwood, 47, were “beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness.”
