Multiple Births Quintuplets

A Couple in Poland Welcomes Quintuplets

The Polish news online is reporting that a set of Quintuplet girls has been born in Krakow, southern Poland.

The doctors of the University Hospital in Krakow announced that the children are in good condition and the delivery was a success. The girls, born prematurely in the 27th week of the pregnancy, weight just 600-800 grams each.

The happy family has been already offered help by the president of their home town of Kilece, central Poland.

According to obstetricians, quintuplets are born once in 52 million pregnancies. In Poland, however, since 2003, there were as many as four quintuplet births in the country – much higher than average.
