Kid Tested: Infantino’s FireFly Soother

One of the cutest crib toys I have come across is a long time is Infantino’s FireFly Soother.

Infantino FireFly Soother

Cleverly designed in the shape of a jar, the FireFly soother features a cast of nightime characters that dance and light up to keep your child entertained.
Out of the box, I was happy that this toy was easy to attach to the crib and that it had lots of options for my toddler who likes to play just before bed.  Parents have the ability to choose rhythms, nature sounds or music, the volume level and whether or not they would like lights or motion and lights.

For infants, Infantino has added a black/white pattern to the wings, a trend that has been found to help your baby’s brain thrive by providing stimulating visual input.

On a normal night, my son thrashes around in his crib for 30 minutes before settling in and going to sleep. For the last week, the Firefly soother has been a welcome distraction during both naps and nighttime.  In the monitor I can see him watching the bugs moving around while the music plays.

And unlike other toys meant for the crib, I like that this ‘jar’ can stand on it’s own if he wants to play with it when he’s not time to sleep.

I highly recommend the FireFly Soother to anyone looking for a unique gift idea for a new baby.  I hope Infantino continues the line with more toys that have this theme. It’s very cute!
