The holiday magic continued for Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz(Kasseem Dean) on Saturday with the arrival of their second child – a baby boy named Genesis Ali Dean!
The new mom announced the exciting news on Instagram on Sunday with a picture of the baby’s footprints, and a note that read, “The joy of joy is joy!! It’s a boy!! we are so grateful!! blessings!!”
The new baby will join the couple’s four-year-old son Egypt, and Kasseem’s children Nicole Dean, Kasseem Dean, Jr., and Prince Nasir Dean from his previous relationships.
While on Live! With Kelly & Michael Alicia told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that Egypt is so ready to be a big brother and can’t wait to have sleepovers with the new addition.
“He comes up and kisses the belly all the time, and he’s always asking, ‘Mommy, can the baby be in the bed with me?’ I’m like, ‘well not at the beginning.'”
Hoping to perfect the big brother role, the singer also revealed that Egypt was practicing by toting around a baby with his own little doll.
“He’s like, ‘Am I supposed to be doing this? Am I supposed to be doing that?’ He’s so ready. It’s a blessing,” she said.
Now that his time has come – we can’t wait to see some photos of the two together! Congratulations to the family on a safe arrival!
