Baby Bottle Maker Adiri Closes Down

Baby bottle maker, Adiri, is the latest company to succumb to the weak economy.

Baby bottle maker, Adiri, Closes Down

The company’s Web site only offered this message:

“We at Adiri would like to thank our loyal customers, retailers and partners for all the support you have provided Adiri and its products over the years. Unfortunately, due to the financial pressures that many businesses face today, we made the difficult decision to cease all business operations. With gratitude, we wish you all the best of luck. Warmest regards, the Adiri team.”

Adiri manufactured bottles designed with the help of doctors, moms and lactation consultants. The company started in 2000 with the debut of the Breastbottle Nurser.

Last year, the company introduced the Natural Nurser bottle, which was 100% BPA- and polycarbonate-free and had a “fill, twist and feed” system. From what I understood, the newly designed bottle was very popular. I guess not popular enough.

This is very sad. I know many moms who are very fond of the Adiri bottle. It was the first of its kind.

  • Not surprised as quality of the product did not live up to the hype. The bottles we bought failed after only a hand full of uses. Great concept but poorly executed.

  • I read that the Adiri bottles were found to NOT be BPA free. I recently received a sample of the new Mimijumi baby bottle, which looks just like a natural breast and my baby loves it!

  • Same response as Duddy. The concept was great but really poor execution. Specfically that the nipple could be torn or worn away. We had this happen to 3 bottles and at all three stages. But babies seem to love the product.

  • Adiri also failed to support its smaller retailers that often make a product like this successful. They sold their product to anyone including Amazon. So the true baby retailers stopped placing orders since they could not compete with ebay and amazon. They did not protect their brand at all.

  • It looks like they were bought by The Water Geeks. When you type in the website it takes you to the water geeks and the bottles appear to still be available.

  • Watergeeks have brought the company and are looking to roll out a brand new version of the bottle very soon

  • WaterGeeks.com has the new Natural Nurser bottle available. It’s awesome, they fixed the leaking issue with a new cap/lid, added a warming cap so you can use a bottle warmer and for later on the lid and warming cap can be used as a snack cup!

  • Myself and my baby really liked these bottles AT FIRST. Then they started leaking and I couldn’t get it to stop. A shame. If they fixed that I would of fell in love with them 10000000%. I wouldn’t buy another bottle if they still leaked.
