Canada’s Minister of Health Lauches Healthy Pregnancy Campaign

The Minister of Health Tony Clement has launched a Health Pregnancy Campaign intended to help educate women who are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant.

The Sensible Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy captures key information about certain lifestyle choices you can make to help ensure a healthy pregnancy. It also contains a handy ten-month pregnancy calendar that you can personalize to help you keep track of what week of pregnancy you are in. Each month includes interesting facts, useful information, and tips on a variety of pregnancy-related topics.

The book, which is free, covers pregnancy issues such as Prenatal Nutrition, Folic Acid, Alcohol, Pregnancy, Physical Activity, Smoking and Pregnancy, Oral Health, and Emotional Health.

The second half of the guide has a handy ten-month pregnancy calendar that you can personalize to help you keep track of what week of pregnancy you are in. Each month includes interesting facts, useful information, and tips on a variety of pregnancy-related topics.

This is a really great guide for expecting parents. I am glad that the government put this package together because not everyone can afford fancy pre-natal books while they are pregnant.
