David Netto’s Louis Collection ~ Sophisticated Nursery Furniture For The Modern Family!

David Netto is a proud New Yorker living in California.  Not only that, but he is also an interior designer and architectural historian of world renown, and also the “father of the modern nursery” or so the children’s store Giggle’s website will claim.

And quite rightly so.  David Netto’s design style is unabashedly eclectic and wonderfully modern. After becoming a father in 2001, he realized the desperate need for some modern, sophisticated, well-designed nursery furniture, and he promptly set about filling that gap.  The NettoCollection was launched.  Since 2009 the NettoCollection has been available through Maclaren Nursery with a number of gorgeous pieces that will turn any nursery into a stylish space that will grow with your child.

The Louis collection, including a crib and change table/dresser is one such brilliantly designed, well-made nursery collection from Maclaren Nursery by David Netto. Both the crib and the dresser feature beautiful clean lines and curved legs reminiscent of period furniture, and are created in natural oak and white satin finish.  The dresser features 5 drawers and a changeable top that moves from a change table to a flat dresser top as the baby grows.

The Louis crib features solid ends in a white satin finish and natural oak sides.

All Maclaren Nursery cribs are made with fixed sides. Early on in the design process David realized that most safety issues associated with cribs came from drop rail sides, and deciding that compromising safety for a minimal increase in ease of use was not worth it, he has designed all of his cribs with standard fixed sides.

In addition, they are also manufactured using only sustainably harvested wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. All their composite materials meet the stringent European “E1” toxicity standards and Maclaren’s finishes are both nontoxic and non-VOC emitting.

Safe, solid and stylish – the 3 things all parents are looking for when planning their nursery!
