Baby Gear

Design Report Award Winner 2007

Australian designer Steven Procter has been awarded Design Report Award 2007 for his range of kid´s products that have been praised for their minimal use of space, form and function that is reduced to the max.

Inspired by his daughter, he designed a range of products for showing at the Milan Furniture fair Salone Satellite in April of 2007.

Both pieces fold up beautifully making them suitable for families that are limited for space. I am not sure how pratical the stroller is, the wheels look awkward and there is no canopy to protect the baby from the sun or rain.

There is a huge market out there for modern, sleek, simple baby products. Designer’s are using unconventional materials to re-invent the wheel and I like it.
