Desperate For A Child: Woman Advertises On Bus For Egg Donor

Sometimes…creativity pays off!! Let’s hope this couple’s plea gets answered.

A British couple have been trying for 14 years to start a family, they have spent £10,000 on unsuccessful IVF treatment and suffered the heartache of a miscarriage.

Linda Weeks, a librarian of Maidstone, Kent, says the £2,000 ads are her last chance of becoming a mum.

The advert shows a couple of their wedding day, in 1993, and says “Don’t we look happy!”

But it goes on: “We’ll never be Mummy and Daddy unless a wonderful woman aged 36 or under can help us by donating some of her eggs. You are our only chance of happiness.”

Linda said: “I’m hoping somebody reads it and takes pity on us. I’m hoping it’s third time lucky. The fertility clinic can only keep us on their list for another year – we have to give it one final go.”

  • She should come to the USA. It is easy to find an egg donor here. There are no waiting lists or restrictions.
