Disney Teams Up With F1 to Launch Mickey & Friends Racing Experiences

Mickey Mouse is heading to the racetrack — and he’s bringing his friends along for the ride. Beginning in 2026, Disney and Formula 1 are teaming up to introduce Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto to the high-speed world of F1 through global experiences, exclusive content, and themed merchandise.

Mickey & Friends and F1 Race to New Colloboration in 2026

The announcement marks a turn for F1, which has increasingly embraced fun, family-friendly collaborations. Just a couple of weeks ago, F1 drivers got behind the wheel of life-sized LEGO race cars for a playful lap around the track — a clear sign the sport is loosening its tie and having some fun with fans of all ages.

Tasia Filippatos, President of Disney Consumer Products, shared, “As we celebrate nearly a century of Mickey Mouse & Friends, our collaboration with Formula 1 offers a unique opportunity to bring two powerhouse entertainment properties together to create products that fans will love.”

The collaboration will unfold with activations that tap into both Disney’s storytelling and F1’s international reach. One early reveal: a Mickey-inspired race car in his signature red, yellow, and black, complete with character signatures from the whole gang.

Formula 1’s been having a bit of fun with pop culture lately. Between the Netflix hit Drive to Survive, collabs with Puma, and partnerships with streetwear names like Supreme and Tommy Hilfiger, the sport’s been stepping outside the usual racing lines. And just recently, F1 drivers cruising around in life-sized LEGO cars ahead of the Miami Grand Prix proved they’re more than willing to trade horsepower for a little humor.

With the Disney collaboration, F1 continues its evolution into a broader entertainment experience, engaging families, kids, and casual fans while retaining the adrenaline and prestige of racing’s top tier.

What’s Coming for Fans

While many details are still under wraps, the Disney x F1 partnership is expected to include:

  • Exclusive animated and digital content starring Mickey & Friends
  • Merchandise drops at races, Disney Parks, and online
  • On-site activations at Grand Prix events
  • Family-friendly experiences that mix racing excitement with Disney magic

We’ve got a bit of a wait until 2026, but between drivers racing around in LEGO cars and Mickey Mouse gearing up to join the action, it’s pretty clear Formula 1 is leaning into a whole new kind of fun.
