RECALL: 96,286 Tuffy Infant Sleepers From Costco Due To Flammability Hazard

Health Canada has issued a recall of 96,286 Tuffy infant sleepers from Costco after it was determined they do not meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law.

Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body.

As of April 30, 2019, Costco hasn’t received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

This recall involves Tuffy Infant Sleepers sold in sizes 18M and 24M only. The affected sleepers are identified with item numbers printed on the inside of the sleeper.
