As a wonderful alternative to plastic toys mass-produced overseas, one talented mama started making her own toys for her daughter. Encouraged by her daughter’s delight and other lucky recipients of her toys, this mama started Smoochy Baby Design and now sells her beautiful toy so that others can enjoy them as well.
Each toy is carefully handmade from sustainable wood, sanded to a silky smooth finish, and left natural. Included in her shop are a funky little walking elephant and owl. Each of these two toys comes with a little walking ramp that when tipped up on one side will help the toy “walk” down! Also to be found are wooden cars and a little dog on wheels.
But our favorite toy at Smoochy Baby Design is a simply stunning wooden flower stacker! This stacker is made from sustainably harvested poplar and walnut, and the wood colors alternate as the flowers increase in size.
Not only is the wood used sustainably sourced, but for every toy sold Smoochy Baby Design will plant a tree via Mokugift’s Plant-a-Tree program. Truly a toy with a conscience.
