The Full Zellers BPA Recall List

*Updated May 9th

*TODAY is the last day the store will accept these bottles without a receipt – Thank you Trish!*

Here is the full list of BPA products that has been recalled by Zellers. If you take your bottles back to their customer service counter the retailer will give you FULL retail prices for your BPA bottles.

Consumers with the bottles and original receipt will receive a cash refund, those with just the product will get a store credit

If you do not see your bottle, sippy or pump on here then the store will not take it.

Products that are exclusively sold at other retailers are also not accepted – even if they have BPA in them.

Walmart is probably using the same list, but they need receipts and packaging in order to issue credit.

  • Just wanted to let you know that your list is not the full recall list.
Some of the items listed are not on the recall list, and some are also missing…

  • Thank You for you concern.

This is just the list that Zellers is going by based on the products they sold as of this exact moment. It has been checked and is correct.

It may not apply to Sears, Walmart or any other retailer that is allowing consumers to return their products.

I chose to highlight the Zellers return program because they have made it the easiest for parents. No questions asked if you have the product – they will give you the credit whether or not you bought it from them.

Everyone is welcome to choose the retailer that they would like to approach with their BPA returns, but they may be asked to present original boxes or sales receipts, which they may not have if their bottles were bought 3 years ago.

  • Just to let you guys know that today, May 9, is the last day Zellers will take back these items without a sales receipt. I’m an employee there and just thought I’d let you guys know! 🙂

  • just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Gerber Massaging Manual Breastpump? It is not on the list but am wondering b/c the bottles that come with the pump are recalled. Does anyone know if Gerber is coming out with bottles that will fit the pump that are bpa free?

  • okay my seven year old was on the nuby that was recalled bottles and soothers for three years should i be really concerned now????

  • I guess this is one of those situations where there could be problems for children that used these products years ago that is why the government is stopping the sales of these bottles to prevent further damage from happening.

It has just been within the last year that lawmakers will actually admit there is a problem with this chemical.

The tricky part – BPA is in EVERYTHING! Some baby teethers, most pool or bath toys, bottles, plastic storage containers, water bottles – the list goes on.

Hopefully the government will start to widen their concern and start to remove all products that have this chemical from store shelves.

  • hi, i am so confused about this baby bottle recall// i have the gerber comfort grip bottles and i called erber tonight and they told me that all gerber products were safe, i don’t know what to do? can anyone help, i called 1-800-4ger-ber..

  • Bottles with BPA in them haven’t been officially recalled by any government or agency.

When the Canadian government said that they were looking into banning baby bottles with BPA in them many retailers took it upon themselves to clear their shelves before the official word actually came down.

The Bay, Walmart and Sears in Canada started offering consumers money back for their BPA bottles if you had receipts or original packaging.

Zellers, however, offered a gift card credit for any bottle returned, no packaging or receipts necessary and that’s why I chose to highlight their list – because it was the easiest option for parents.

They no longer have this offer.

If you have a product that is on this list then it has BPA in it. Gerber will consider it still safe because there has been no official recall from the FDA, CPSC or Canadian Government.

It is recommended that parents find a BPA free option just to be safe.

This article we wrote has most bottles that are BPA free in North America.

  • Hi,

Does anyone have contact information for the Small Wonders company? I have a couple of their bottles that I believe have BPA in them.

  • This list is NOT correct. Gerber botttles have never been recalled! Playtex is one of the leading BPA free companies. I would seriously consider the validity of this website/ list before I went to return any bottles or products from these companies.

  • This list was transposed WORD FOR WORD from the list that this store gave me. These were the products they were accepting for refund during their bottle return event.

ZELLERS was saying that if you had something from this list you could get a FULL refund for store credit.

This list was only valid for ZELLERS stores BEFORE May 08. Please read the post

  • I had googled EVERYWHERE to find out if The First Years Disney “the slim one” was safe — and I only found out HERE that it isn’t! Thank you for posting this list.
