New parents, Gemma and Ian Woods, are over the moon to finally have a baby girl but weren’t quite expecting her to arrive weighing so much
Gemma, 28, is a rockstar. For the delivery she opted to have a natural birth, with only gas and air pain relief.
‘I just couldn’t believe it when the midwife told me the weight – I thought I was hearing things,’ she told the Sunday Mirror.
adding, “When she was two weeks old we took a photograph of her next to my nephew Thomas, who was born three weeks early. He weighed 6Ib 13oz – and she absolutely dwarfed him.”
