On January 16th celebrity parents descended on the Century Plaza in LA for the annual Boom Boom Room Gifting suite.
For the event, Britax was on hand to introduce them to their newest convertible car seat, the Britax Advocate CS Car Seat, which many, including Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Chad Lowe and Ali Landry, took home.
The seat features the Britax tangle-free, five-point harness, a rear- and forward-facing recline, and accommodates children rear facing from 5 to 35 pounds and forward facing from at least one year old and 20 pounds up to 65 pounds. It is also equipped with Britax True Side Impact Protection, Versa-Tether®, HUGS™, premium LATCH connectors, and the Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator, which provides extra assurance when the harness is within range of appropriate snugness.
This technology is the first and only to:
- Absorb side impact crash forces before reaching the child, resulting in fewer head injuries.
- Feature robust air chambers that require up to 10 times more force to compress than competing technologies. This results in the transfer of significantly more crash force energy away from the child.
- Provide an energy-absorbing surface area along the full length of the seat, protecting the child’s head, neck and torso.
- Offer a soft, protective surface for the adjacent passenger in a side impact crash.
WIN IT!! Britax offered one (1) Growing Your Baby Reader the opportunity to win a Britax Advocate CS Car Seat.

I love the Side Impact Cushion Technology..I’m a safety freak when it comes to my kids!
I love that the energy-absorbing base deforms in the event of a crash to absorb impact forces!
So many things I like.. how about the Side Impact Protection (sweet) or the No Re-thread Harness Adjustment (so I don’t have to redo them)..
I love that this car seat offers side impact protection! The more protection for the wee ones the better =)
Definitely the Side Impact protection.
Thanks!
The side impact cushioning is the best feature of the Britax. It does give some peace of mind.
I am so pleased that it offers extra cusion and Side Impact Cushion Technology reducing side impact crash energy by 50%, by diverting crash forces away from the child. This is something that can help even if “avoiding” an accident with a quick swerve. I am so pleased with techology and the ideas to improve the protection of our little ones! Happy Valentine’s Day!
I like that it has a Quick-Adjust Head Restraint & No-Rethread Harness to easily adjust the harness shoulder height and head restraint without disassembling the harness
I love the Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator. It’s nice to know when the seatbelt is snug enough.
It is a toss up between the HUGS and the built in lock off(s) silenttributary(at)yahoo(dot)com

I like thst it’s rear facing to 35 pounds, has side impact protection, built-in lock-off so that the child seat does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back … a lot of cool features
I love that this seat has the LATCH system! It’d make it a breeze to put into our car, and I’m much more comfortable with that than using a seatbelt to secure it!
i love the 5 point harness and the click & safe snug harness indicator that clicks in place so you know it is secure. I figure the two go hand in hand!

I’m excited about the HUGS system
I like the click and safe harness adjuster that gives you an audible signal that it’s tight.
