Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils New Norwegian Aqua

Families looking to cruise in 2025 will have another option to consider! Today Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leading innovator in global cruise travel, introduced the all-new Norwegian Aqua, the first ship in the expanded Prima Plus Class. This next-generation ship will set sail in April 2025, offering exciting new experiences to vacationers for seven-day Caribbean itineraries departing from Port Canaveral, Fla.

Norwegian Aqua builds on the success of Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. With a 10 percent size and capacity increase from its sister ships, Norwegian Aqua will provide more outdoor space and the highest staffing levels of any new contemporary cruise ship. The ship spans 1,056 feet long, 156,300 gross tons, and can accommodate 3,571 guests at double occupancy.

An eye-catching feature of Norwegian Aqua is its hull art design, created by renowned artist Allison Hueman. Titled “Where the Sky Meets the Sea,” the design showcases colorful mashups of abstract and figurative representations of the sea and sky, ruled by ancient goddesses.

One of the ship’s highlights is the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide.

Guests can enjoy twists and turns as they slide down three stories around the ship’s funnel.
