Peg Perego has issued a recall for its Tatamia 3-in-1 recliner, swing, and high chair after it was found to violate multiple federal safety standards, including those designed to prevent infant suffocation. Though marketed as a versatile solution for feeding, playing, and resting, the Tatamia has an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, a red flag under current federal safety laws.
It violates the Infant Sleep Products Rule and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, both of which aim to eliminate inclined surfaces from products intended for sleep. The chair also failed to meet required safety warnings under the high chair standard.
While no injuries have been reported, the recall—announced June 26, 2025—applies to about 950 units sold online between November 2022 and January 2025, priced at around $450.
If you own the Tatamia 3-in-1, here’s how to check if yours is part of the recall:

Inclined sleeping surfaces are no longer considered safe. Pediatric experts and regulators agree that babies should sleep only on flat, firm surfaces. The Tatamia’s design contradicts this advice and introduces a potential suffocation hazard. Although it may have seemed like a convenient option, especially for multitasking caregivers, it’s now clear that it should not be used for sleeping infants.
If you own one of the affected Tatamia chairs, stop using it immediately. Here are your next steps:
