Mom in Iraq Gives Birth To Sextuplets

A 25-year-old woman is making headlines(and setting records) after she gave birth to septuplets in Iraq’s Diyala Governorate.

The babies, six girls and one boy, were born at the Betul Training and Research Hospital in Diyala, Iraq on February 12, 2019.

The director of media at Diyala health department said the birth is the first of its type in Iraq, noting that it was a ‘normal birth’.

The pictures show the babies need assistance breathing, but they are being cared for in the hospital’s special care nursery. At least 2 of them are on the ventilator, while 2 are on C-Pap.
