Recall: Oribel Cocoon High Chair Due To Fall and Injury Hazard

Health Canada in conjunction with Kidzdistrict has issued a voluntary recall of about 633 Oribel Cocoon high chairs because the affected high chairs can develop cracks in the leg hinge and break, posing a fall and injury hazard.

As of January 16, 2019, the company has received 3 reports of cracked leg hinges in Canada and no report of injuries.

The affected infant chairs manufactured before in or before July 2018 and does NOT have an ‘R’ mark, it is affected.

They were sold in 4 colours.

The manufacturing date can be found on the warning sticker found on the back of the Oribel Cocoon high chair or on the compliance sticker found under the tray.

Consumers can also request a replacement kit by filling out the form on Oribel’s website and providing their name, address, phone number and a photo of the warning or the compliance sticker.
