Jessica Alba Introduces Us to Haven!

Haven Garner, daughter of Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, was born on August 13^th. Not even a glimpse of the bundle of joy has been seen – until now. In an exclusive with PEOPLE, Jessica shows off their new bundle of joy and talks about how Haven was nothing like they expected.

“I really only expected my child to look like Honor,” Jessica said. “When the two of us made such a different looking kid, it was like, ‘Okay, I guess we can do this too! It was a nice little surprise.’”

Haven’s birth, the inspiration for her name, was another unexpected. Haven was born in the caul, or in the amniotic sac. Father Cash stated after the birth, “She was born in her safe haven.”

It’s been 7 weeks since Haven made her entrance into the world and the now foursome are adjusting well to the newest family addition. Even Haven gives a smile of approval – her newest milestone.

Jessica shared the story about Haven’s first smile. “Cash was just talking in her ear, whispering and kissing her and she was smiling the whole time. It’s an amazing connection.”

Jessica and Haven’s entire interview will be featured in the newest issue of PEOPLE magazine, set to hit shelves on Friday.
