During our recent road trip to South Carolina, we chose to stay at the Embassy Suites in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia as our part-way point. Visiting Great Falls has been on our list for a couple of years so this was a perfect way for us to see the park and rest for the night.
We like this hotel chain because the properties are full-featured, they allow pets for a fee of $80, and provide a complimentary breakfast – all for a great price.
Our king suite room at the Embassy Suites was incredibly spacious. It featured a living room area with a pull-out couch, a workspace, and a flat-screen TV.
Additionally, the room had convenient amenities such as a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge.
The bathroom in our suite was well-equipped with a fully lit mirror, a tub, a shower, and Neutrogena bath products.
We also had a second room with a king bed and a flat-screen TV, allowing everyone in our family to have their own space to relax after a long day of driving.
One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic breakfast offered at the hotel. We enjoyed made-to-order omelets, pastries, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, and much more.
Although we only stayed at this hotel for one night, it was perfect for our needs. There was a nominal parking fee, but it did not detract from our overall satisfaction.
The hotel’s location is also ideal, as it is only about 10 minutes away from Great Falls and a short 25-minute drive from Washington, DC. This makes it convenient for exploring both natural attractions and city landmarks.
