Some stories are just so touching, so beautiful, that they give you hope and remind you that miracles really do happen. Some stories instantly fill your heart and bring tears to your eyes because they remind you that humanity is still alive and well in the world. These stories are my absolute favorite! And we’ve had the opportunity to share a lot of them this year.

This year, we were honored to share some of the most heartwarming stories of inspiration, amazing stories of survival and bravest heroes – both big and small. As 2012 comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of those stories. We hope they warm your heart as much as they did ours.
When we are faced with adversity, our first instinct is to believe that our situation could be different, that our child is stronger and that we can beat the odds. In 2012 we found many families who did just this! Against every odd they were given, they made it through.
As we head into the new year, many will make a list of what they want to accomplish in 2013. As a parent my only hope is to have a healthy, happy family. After that – everything is a bonus. So, cherish your health, embrace your family and enjoy every moment together.
Babies have shown us, time and again, year after year, that they can be even more unpredictable than the weather. They will come when and where they want. This year was filled with some of the most bizarre delivery locations, but there were also some pretty amazing birth stories this year.
